"Louis Vuitton officially opened their “A Passion for Creation” exhibition last night [Thursday] in Hong Kong, showcasing selected works from the Fondation Louis Vuitton pour la Création, bringing together a small number of significant large-scale works (paintings, photographs, video installations) by European, American and Chinese artists. The shoe featured amazing installations by the likes of Takashi Murakami, Richard Prince, and Stephen Sprouse. Other works included pieces by Jean-Michel Basquiat, Paul Chan, Cao-Fei, Yang Fudong, Gilbert & George, Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster, Andreas Gursky, Pierre Huyghe, Jeff Koons, Bertrand Lavier, Christian Marclay, Richard Prince. The show runs through August 9th, 2009."

"A motion graphics piece created by David Park, a student graduating from PARSONS SCHOOL of DESIGN. “Soul 2 Sole” would be his thesis project on Sneaker Culture. Touching on the relatively recent trends of culture and their interaction and overlappings with youth/pop culture, music, fashion, etc. - It’s definitely a much watch for sneaker aficionados everywhere. Expect the classic Adidas shell toes, the Converse All-stars, essentially every iteration of Micheal Jordans, the Puma clydes, and even the more recent newcomers to the game, Bapes.

Foundation Room.

Last night myself and some friends partied at Foundation Room to celebrate a friend's birthday. It was so good I still cannot get over how much of a good time I had - and I'm not even exaggerating. Straight up if you want to go to a lounge where the people and the music is happening, go here! It's small and intimate, the smallest / best lounge I've been to so far, it was so good. The atmosphere, the decor, the vibe - so sexy. I was feelin' it no doubt. The birthday girl and her girlfriends were def. feelin' it, so naturally, me and my people were feelin' it too! (and to think they considered leaving!) - HA! T'was a great night/great day downtown. For sure going back again sometime over the summer.

H&M and Designers Against AIDS (DAA) has once again teamed up with some of the biggest celebrities for Fashion Against AIDS, to help fight the disease and raise youth awareness. Dita Von Teese, Katy Perry, Róisín Murphy, Estelle, Cyndi Lauper, N.E.R.D, Robyn, Yoko Ono, Yelle, Moby, Katharine Hamnett, Dangerous Muse, and Tokio Hotel are among the artists who designed T-shirts, T-shirt dresses, vests and bodies for the cause. 25% of the sales price will be donated to youth HIV/AIDS awareness projects. The collection, in 100% organic cotton, for both guys and girls will go on sale in H&M’s youth DIVIDED department from May 28, 2009.
